The aim of this study was to investigate the AMR of Campylobacterspp. isolates from broiler carcasses to antibiotics used in animal and human health.

Chicken carcass samples were sourced from supermarkets (big grocery stores) and informal markets (markets in which sellers are anonymous to the taxing authority) in the neighborhoods of Zimpeto and Benfica (KaMubukwana district), Xiquelene and Hulene (KaMavota district), Maputo City, and from a slaughterhouse in Boane district, Maputo province. All samples were handled according to ISO 17604:2015 standards (ISO, 2015).
