The present study was envisaged to determine the genetic diversity of recovered E. coli isolates using PFGE, and further identify the potential risk factors associated with the occurrence of AMR in the poultry settings in the broiler farms of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states, India.

A total of 120 samples were collected from the broiler chicken farms (n = 20) in and around Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states of India in October 2020. The samples comprised 20 each from poultry droppings, feed on feeders, feed from the stock, water from waterers, water from the main tank, and soil.
