E.coli isolates were collected from 20 commercial broiler farms in Iran between February 2012 and April 2013.

The first stage of sampling was done at 1-day-old broiler chicks on their arrival. The second and the third stages of sampling were done at 30 and 1 day before slaughter, respectively. At each stage, 15 cloacae contents were collected from each broiler farm and each of three swabs was pooled in a sterile tube
