Different chicken flocks from organic (n = 6), exten-sive indoor (n = 14), and intensive production (n = 14), representing a total of 96,386 birds, were sampled during the slaughter and deboning process from Decem-ber 2007 to October 2008,

Sampling was performed for cecum, carcass (neck skin), and deboned poultry breast pieces, main-taining each flock’s traceability.
