A convenience sample of 100 feedlots was selected for sample collection to determine the prevalence of Salmonella spp shedding in feces of feedlot cattle.
Fecal composite samples from pen floor. 5 fecal samples were collected from the pen floor in each of 2 pens of cattle in each feedlot. The pen of cattle that had occupied the feedlot the shortest amount of time and the pen of cattle that had occupied the feedlot the longest amount of time were selected for sampling
