A total of 156 E. coli strains were isolated from commercial refrigerated chicken carcass. Of these, 35 E. coli strains were isolated from 15 free-range poultry (commonly created by family agriculture) and 121 E. coli strains from 26 conventionally raised poultry (sold in markets in the region, obtained fromgranges)
